Bible Study Lessons in Eschatology
Welcome to the world’s ONLY Eschatology Degree Program School!
Concerning Bible study lessons in eschatology, there are some elements of the end times events which all Bible trusting Christians love to study, but do not necessarily agree upon in detail. Here are but a few.
- God has promised an eternal spiritual kingdom.
- At the return of Christ, both the saved and unsaved will be raised and judged.
- After the last judgment will come the eternal state. It will bring endless perdition for the lost and good thing for the elect.
- Whether or not there will be a physical earthly tribulation and millennium.
- The question of the Rapture.
- Whether or not the nation of Israel will have a separate future than the Church.
Periods of the spreading visibility of the Kingdom of God on earth in eschatology bible study lessons
The covenants between God and man have been administered differently in different periods all through the history of redemption. Different types of covenantal elements have been used by God as he has gradually exposed his truth.
Bible Study Lessons concerning The patriarchal period
In Genesis 3:15 God assured that the seed of the woman will crush Satan’s seed. His supreme kingship first appeared on earth through the heads of families. They lead their families in worship and made blood sacrifices presenting their faith that God will one day give a substitute for the wrath they deserve. The promise of a unique covenant people was made to Isaac, Abraham and Jacob.
Bible Study Lessons concerning the Mosaic period
God showed his rule through the Elders of Israel known as judges. In this period he established an elaborate structure of sacrifices and worship to more completely prefigure the work yet to be performed by the promised Messiah.
Bible Study Lessons concerning The Kingdom of Israel
God exposed his rule through the kings. David was picked to head an unending rule (2 Samuel 7:13).
The captivity (under foreign rule)
During this Gods time kingdom was not extremely visible. God promised that is Israel moved to the Lord (Isaiah 10:21) she would be restored to the beautiful land (Zephaniah 3:20, Amos 9:14, Micah 2:12, Isaiah 11:12 Jeremiah 23:3, 31:8-9), the template would be re-built the sacrifices restored.
Israel restored Canaan under foreign supremacy
Gods Kingdom was seen in just a restricted way during this time. The template was rebuild, the sacrifice re-established. Israel was still ruled by various strong foreign empires.
The new administration of the covenant
Christ initiated his kingdom by preaching the good news of the gospel. This kingdom would reside within the hearts of the people instead of an earthly rule. This would not be understood by the nation of Israel as a whole and thereby they rejected Christ as their long awaited Messiah.
Bible Study Lessons concerning The early life of Messiah
Jesus walking among us where he physically showed his rule. He cast out demons, raised the dead, healed the sick, do miracles and forgave sins.
The era of the Christian church
In this age Christ rules by the Holy Spirit working via his word and ordained church officers. There remains no national fences to the gospel. Believers are to exercise the duties of the Kingdom in their priestly, prophetic, and kingly duties. The church is clearly identified as a “Holy Nation”, “Royal Priesthood”,” Gods Israel.
Bible Study Lessons concerning The final eternal state after judgment
Sin will be fully removed. The new earth and heaven will be established. It will be a time of absolute and worldwide area. Satan and all evil will be finally judged. Gods sovereignty will completely and eternally be made obvious in all of creation. \lsdpri
