Eschatology
Welcome to the world’s ONLY Eschatology Degree Program School! E
Eschatology is the branch of Christian theology dealing with events of the last days and end times prophecies.
Some of these biblical study events include the Second Coming of Christ, Rapture, the Future Judgment and the Millennial Kingdom. The primary books the eschatology of the Bible pertaining to end times prophecy are the book of Ezekiel, book of Daniel, and the book of Revelation.
Though a serious area of study, Eschatology helps believers as well as students of the Word to know the prophetic passages of Scripture and how to follow the Christian life in preparation for the last days.
Practical reasons to study eschatology
Eschatology helps us to teach the church. The church needs teaching on this topic, not just because neglect generates a serious vacuum, but also because eschatology is the crown and capstone of systematic theology.
Eschatology helps us to worship god
When we think of the defeat of Satan, resurrection, perfect and final judgment, the new earth and the new heavens and eternal fellowship with Christ and his Church, we definitely cannot but amplify our worship of God. If our eschatology does not outcome in better worship of God, we are either in wrong side, or we are approaching the reality in the wrong spirit.
Eschatology helps us to trust in the midst of danger
Sometimes Christians and Churches face trails from which they will not be delivered while here on this planet. In the midst of pain, disease, and injustice, it is important to have an energetic hope of resurrection life. That alone will fuel true endurance to the end.
Eschatology helps us to prepare for judgment
One of the factors why so few are ready for judgment is that they do not know there will be a day of judgment. In additional to getting ourselves ready, eschatology should attract us to help others get ready too. While obsessions with the last thing is serious, omission is even more serious and dangerous.
Purpose of prophecy
The objective of prophecy which is a part of the study of eschatology is to support a Christian to view into the future. This is planned for us to decide how to move about our lives. God lives it when we are knowledgeable of his word. That is why he has showed all these things to us. God does not like that we follow him blindly. God select us for leadership of his people on account that we will seek to get knowledge which we pass on to the flock. When we have no awareness of the word of God, the devil will readily seek to make use of that space and so mislead us. >
